-Full coverage insurance?
- Wire you up a fuel pump cut off switch and get an alarm. The noise will deter most crooks. These days I see people trucks and cars get swiped right out of their driveways by tow trucks.

...I can add a sensor so if you even walk by it then it will go off but those are kind of annoying but it's a option.

A friend that used to work at Circuit City (yes- that long ago!) had a few customers that had the proximity sensors trigger the door locks (even if already locked) and turn the headlights on for about a minute rather than trigger the alarm chirp. So, if someone got too close, it'd be like they were being watched by the owner with the remote in their hands and they pressed the factory "Lock" button.

ya there are different sensitivity settings you can use but those motion sensors are really hard to get "just" right and my kids are always playing around my vehicles so I just use a sound sensor inside, it picks up a certain pitch like glass breaking, voice, etc.

Word. That proximity sensor setup is ideal if you didn't wanna wake the neighbors every time a cat walked by. Just like the two-stage shock sensors, it'll ignore the prox sensors after so many triggers within a set amount of time. The shock sensor ignoring feature is great during a thunderstorm. But if your prox sensors are triggered that many times, you parked around too much activity.
