Welcome to the site! I love both cars. Why would the previous owner remove the headlights? Doesn't make sense
They weigh about 15-20lbs each. Plus when they're lowered they block a lot of airflow to the radiator.
My guess is since they have the 70's LT-1 motor(higher compression 350 motor at the time) they were probably into racing it and wanted to lower the weight and increase airflow as much as they could.
But for me I needed headlights and putting in the stock ones after finding them was easy enough after I got the openings cut open again. It would have been nice if they just took them out and didn't seal them over but o well...
