After having both a 07 Tahoe and now a 10 Escalade. I have to say escalade is better by a long shot. Yeah it eats a little more gas. But is a lot faster then the 5.3 especailly trying to get on the highway. The escalade has better features. HID lights, nice instrument cluster, Bigger Navi, Better looking interior dash lights, Better leather, LED Tails, so on and so on.

Of those 2, I would definitely go with the Escalade. You are getting more truck for the money. And who cares about gas mileage when we are talking about full-size SUV's? LOL

I currently have both an avy and esky and it's not even a close comparison. I love driving the esky 10x more. Go with the esky you won't regret it.

I agree, "The Esky" lol. The difference between the 5.3 and 6.2 is huge. Or wait and find a '12 Premium Esky cause dat ass... So sexy.

The main differences in the 11s are Power Steps and 2nd row DVD ... there might be some other small features but I'm not sure which.

2012/13/14 is where there are a bunch of significant differences tween the Luxury and Premium.

Speaking of this, a long time ago (and this could be my imagination or I misinterpreted) I was reading that the active damping was different per trim. Could this be?

Pre 09 the Magnetic Ride Control was only available on the Platinum ... since 09 it's on every trim level.

I don't think it's been mentioned here and if you didn't know, the Esky has a longer bumper to bumper warranty than the Tahoe so even though it's used there isn't much compromising there.
