good afternoon everyone,

im about to get a 2017 suburban LT with the push button start feature. i was wondering if anyone who currently has one can try something for me.... can you get out of the car and leave the car running and then lock the doors either by hitting the lock button on your remote or by manually hitting the lock button on the doors. thanks

Yes you can lock it while it's running. I always hated that you couldn't do this in my Honda or Mercedes.

It works good on mines or you can use the application on your phone. Which is the best app. Out there. Lexus Enforce SUCKS! If is not working on your truck. It might be a setting on your menu.

You can leave the truck running and push the lock button on the fob without any issues. I've found that I can't seem to leave it running and push the lock button on the door handle though. It's not that big of a deal to have to use the fob for this though.

It works but only for awhile...I haven't timed it yet. After awhile if you don't return, the vehicle will shut off. I've left it running with the door locked, fob in my pocket, and was in the store for an hour, when I came back out, it was off.

If you do the remote start it will only run for 10 minutes and then shutoff if the truck hasn't been put in gear and driven. However, if you start the truck normally and then lock it and walk away I can't imagine it turning off on its own at any point in time, unless of course you run out of gas.

It depends on the range of the key to the car. When you get near the car the doors unlock but if its running and your keys get to far away from the car the timer is bypassed and turns off due to key/owner not being with in a certain distance of the car. Same as auto start if your no close enough to the car the auto start wont get the signal to start.
