Ok, well just go thru my last post and @Scottydoggs post and get us some answers, please. To me it is pretty simple. When you push down on the throttle it either revs the engine or it stays at idle. Which is it?

Like I said, I believe it was not revving. I was sitting at a stop with a line of traffic behind me and I do not know. I cannot recreate it so I do not know.
Thanks for the help there partner.

in researching my own dead pedal. ive found theres two grounds on the frame under the driver seat, and another one iirc near the rad support, d/s, they get rusty and quick working. you can try a clean up of them contacts. and ive also seen the tb cause this. bad pig tail from one of the sensors.

you could scan it for codes too, see what you come up with.

i use this app. scans everything https://play.google.com/store/apps/...d2.chevroletsys.chevroletsysscanfree&hl=en_US
just need a odb2 bluetooth reader, 10-20 bucks for that.

Yea, on the initial post I thought immediately that it would be related to the drive by wire set up. That is one of the reasons I like my 2002 with the actual throttle cable. I have heard the stories before of this problem. I think it is a sensor or two that goes bad and I guess it could be intermittent. That still doesn't explain the lf noise. Hopefully he will get back to us about my questions about the inspections at the lf and at the trans fluid.

If you look up above, I noted in one of my posts that I did clean the grounds. I had a "Stability Control" fault and a "Service 4WD" fault. Cleaning those grounds solved both of those faults. I have just checked it with a code reader and there is no code from the last event.

Do you know if it is possible to pull a fuse and just disable the traction control?

All I was looking for here was if the T\C could cause the car to not move after a traffic stop. When I shut of the T\C on a regular basis as Scotty said he did the problem never appeared. It happens so infrequently though, that may mean nothing. Since the noise was at takeoff as was the lack of movement I associated the two as possibly part of the same problem.
I thought someone may have had the problem before and could alert me to where I should look.
I also noted above that I checked the Transmission fluid because I figured I would be asked if my level was up, the tranny fluid level was fine.

I have investigated the ground situation on many sites including this site and youtube. There are two grounds on the body mount facing the rear of the car directly below and back of the driver door. Three wires, two on one, one on the other. I wire brushed the ground connectors and the mount itself. That took care of the T\C fault and the 4wd fault that I had last week. At this moment there are no faults in the truck. I checked the codes 15 minutes ago.

Scotty, I did not clean any grounds on the Radiator support. That was not mentioned anywhere else. I will look at that tomorrow. There was a mention of one on the Actuator on the transfer case, but since the first one solved my 4wd problem, I looked no further and I figured my problem was gone with the codes.
