The braking is where I noticed the most noticeable improvement. I dropped 2.5 tenths in the 1/8 mile, but I also just put in a built transmission and 3000 stall converter so I don't know how much is do to weight loss and how much is the upgraded transmission.

Were you running full quarter mile or just 1/8? Curious What yours ran in quarter. Bone stock I got a blistering 16.8@81 haha...

I ran a 16.94 @ 84.19 in the quarter with a tune, MIT and exhaust. I plan on hitting the track next weekend to see what it will do now. I'm also still learning how this thing likes to launch. With this set up it seems to like to launch off flash stall more so than brake stall.

What did it weigh stock before you took out all those items? Mine was 5480 with about 3/4 tank of fuel and nobody inside.

I'm in the middle of converting to 2wd on mine, and doing a T56 swap. Hoping to drop around 400lbs with that conversion. The front CV joints alone were about 20lbs each. I would like it to be down around 4900-5000 eventually.

My denali could go on a diet lol. I weighed my 02 AWD denali with me in 5700 even with half tank. Take my fat ass out of it 5480 that's on stock 17's. I ran the quarter bone stock beside being lowered 130k stock 17's best was 15.893 @ 86.38.
TIME FOR PERFORMANCE UPGRADES! lol. Every 100 pounds you drop is a tenth off in the quarter and 10 horsepower gains a 10th. Something like that and I know it's different to the car or truck set up.

I like the Tahoe/Yukon platforms but for any fun speed its not going to happen. I would just build the engine for a turbo then have fun shredding tires and spooling. Would run in the low 14s

You could run low 14s with a stall and full bolt ons with a tune.

There is a guy I know running 12.3@116 with a turbo 5.3 awd. 5800lb race weight.

It can be done. Hell, there's quite a few crew cab trucks running 12s. And they are just as heavy or heavier. 11s are my goal.
