Hello all!!

I just picked up a 07 Denali a few weeks ago. I noticed immediately I liked resting my phone in the crevice on the arm rest, it just seemed to fit well there!

Not that the cord was a hassle, or even got in the way, but I thought a wireless charging option would be very convenient.

This is my first iteration, and I have some other thoughts on different products that may make the install easier. If there's enough interest I can post a how to, but its ultimately pretty simple.

You just need a QI-enabled device and compatible Qi Wireless Charger Charging Pad.

It looks like he hacked a hole in the bottom of his armrest, mounted the charging pad on the underside, thus using the USB port for the charge cord for the pad.

If you have a S5, like the op, since the Galaxy S5 doesn't come with wireless charging straight out of the box you can purchase a Samsung wireless charging flip cover.

Do a search for Qi Wireless Charger Charging Pads and you'll find numerous options. There are some ultra slim variants that could be made to work with only drilling a single hole, for the cord, and without cutting a big hole in the bottom of your armrest.

The hole is "hacked" in the console because the multiple pieces of plastic was hampering the wireless charging signal. I never had any want to drill unnecessary holes that cause function or aesthetic issues.

As stated this is my first iteration so I plan on making changes to it and one of those changes is to use a smaller round QI charging base. When I hacked (or as I like to call it roughed) the hole into an unseen portion of the armrest, I made sure the rough cut was smaller than plate I plan on using. The pictures make it look worst than it is.

When I complete the installation of the other plate I will update for those who are interested.

Thanks!
