Question about 15/16 SLT's

I've noticed that some Yukon SLT models from 2015-2016 have a chrome accent strip along the side, while other SLT models do not. This is for models before GMC launched the current "premium edition" SLT. Does the chrome strip on the earlier models indicate the addition of any package, or was it just an individual add on?
