if you keep your lights on auto that can create issues as well.... I would dump those crappy HID for LED or manually turn the lights on & off

the lights on the nnbs are always on auto, you have to turn them off everytime you start you truck if you want them off, atleast on the denali they are and the dtrl are actually the low beam headlight also because the lights are dual beam setup. the Tahoe's are different

I have installed a number of HID conversions on several different types of vehicles including my 15 Tahoe, 16 Silverado, and 17 Suburban. I have diagnosed a couple of problems of lights working intermittently. Each time it was caused by the relay harness.

In one case it was a poor connection where the wire had been crimped to the terminal. Since finding that I now solder all the connections on the harness.

The other situation where occasionally one side would light, then the opposite side might take a turn was perplexing. It turned out that when the wire gauge such as the one utilized in some relay harnesses is too small, it can't always supply sufficient current to reliably fire both ballasts. That becomes more understandable when you realize that most 55 watt ballasts require about 4 amps continuously but double that or about 8.2 amps to start. The harness wire is barely adequate to handle both lights once lit, but very inadequate for the 16+ amps to simultaneously start both ballasts.

By replacing the main wire from the battery to relay with a #12 wire and soldering all connections makes a reliable system without glitches.

A simple plug-and-play installation will make driving safer in low visibility conditions. I believe for LED headlights for your 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe.

my experience has been the HID systems (any brand) either just quit or they go out slowly, it could just be a one off but if it keeps happening more and more just try swapping from side to side to get a better idea of what the exact cause it, I always suspect the relay first, ballast second, bulb last unless the bulb has a lot of hours on it then you can look at the bulb and see if it has any visible defects sometimes they will bubble up and get all weird looking.
