I got some spare 285/70r17 cooper tires on OEM 17” lt wheels, and i was wondering if they would fit on my 2003 (4wd) tahoe if i would buy something like this: http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-2006-GM-1500-SUV-2-5-FRONT-1-5-REAR-LEVELING-LIFT-FEATURING-BILSTEIN-/161624357340?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ATahoe&hash=item25a18ff9dc&vxp=mtr Parts for a tahoe are kinda hard to get in the country were i live so rather know for sure it will fit or what betters options would be.

My apologies for my English since I’m not too good with it.

Your link seems to be broken. But in the URL i saw something mentioning Bilsteins and a Level kit. If you level with keys and spacers and z71 coil springs and bilsteins, you can fit 285/70's. You will need to bring the front up 2.5" or so and add 1-2" spacers with the new springs your should be fine. My tires don't rub at all and they are 285/75/16r, which is the same overall height and width as yours.

Thanks for your reply. The set includes 2,5" keys, 1,5" spacer, bilstein 5100 front and rear shocks. So only need to get additional z71 coil springs.

I think it will. What suspension options do you have? Autoride? Z71?

bro, i honestly have no idea, its a stock 05 tahoe, lt, with all bells and whistles. i picked up cheap with 215k on it and all records clean. so i am thinking about making it my toy/money pit. currently on 17" stock rims and tires with a set of 275/55/20 in the summer.i want to put some more aggresive tires on the 20's and maybe even the 17"s for winter. i like the way your tahoe sits, and would like my like that.

Chances are this should work just fine. The only thing is, if you already have the z71 package, you don't need to buy the coil springs, unless you wanted to replace them. With 215k, you might as well spend the extra $60 bucks for the coils.

Mine had the autoride (automatic air leveling by increasing pressure in the shocks) and my shocks were blown.

Look for the badge on the side of the truck between the rear of the back doors and infront of the cargo side window. It should either say "LS", "LT" or z71. Im guessing you would know if it were a z71...
