So if the rear already has synthetic in it there is no need benefit in changing to synthetic?! It already has it. I guess the benefit simply came from changing old fluid out for new.

Right?

You know the little book that comes with the truck in the glove box? It has all the different fluids needed and amounts needed. If I get a chance next break I will go out and get mine and look it up. As for what I did. $150.00 I took it to my tranny shop the did a tranny fluid and filter, both front and rear axle fluid change, and the xfer case fluid. I had to get someone to do it because of my warrantee.

I run RP in everything and I think that stuff is mixed with angel blood!! It is crazy how good it is, from the oil and P/S, to the tranny and diff fluids. I'm putting in the radiator coolant next week for a full RP. Its expensive as hell, but worth every penny. The oil last a whole lot longer, Change it at the prescribed mileage and it wasnt even dirty.

^^^^ LOL SO TRUE

As for someone saying that they have heard of guys adding fluid. I put RP in an 02 camaro once and I constantly had to add oil to the engine... To be honest I never looked at the tranny or rear end to see if it was low but never had an issue either. Anyway back to the engine it didnt burn it and it didnt leak it. I was told the RP oil molicules (my spelling SUCKS) are so small the the engine block can actually absorb some of the oil. Has anyone ever heard of this before???

Also my 03 according to the book that is found in the glove box not only came with synthetic all the way around but it requires it except for that GM blue stuff in the Transfer Case. I still feel adding a better quality Synthetic you would see a gain in addition to replacing old oil.

Not real crazy about RP. Never heard good stuff about it, maybe ok for old school muscle but I'm sticking with my Mobil 1 or better. We can have a long disscusion about oils and how even Mobil 1 isn't really a true synthetic but ill save it. Front diff is a piece of cake, remove both plugs on the diff. Clean and reinstall lower plug, add fluid until it starts coming out the top plug hole then reinstall that plug. Done.
