Has anyone ever driven without the Mass air flow sensor? it seems to run fine i just don't want to cause any damage by not using it. Thanks

I wouldn't do it it'll throw the computer off and that's last thing you want is messing with that.

My last one crapped out, picked up a new one and now i still have an occasional hesitation when accelerating. I had drivin it to the store without it and it ran great. should i disconnect battery and reset computer with new one installed?

Yeap yeap haha. It's going to read it has like not enough or to much air. Causing your air/fuel mixture to be off and not causing right explosion in cylinder and cause mis fires. So defiantly don't wanna mess with that haha.

So i disconnected battery for over an hour, i don't think the comp fully reset as my check engine light didn't turn off. My truck is still stalling every so often and hesitating. As soon as i disconnect the sensor though it runs fantastically. It doesnt make sense to me. Unless i have a wire in the sensor harness that is shorting out or something? Anyone have thoughts? This is starting to really irritate me

Sometimes unhooking battery and reconnecting wont erase everything. I mean you go to a smog shop or like a oil change and have then erase your codes. Or you can try disconnecting the battery and turning key over few times in ignition that may help reset everything.
