So while trying to remove the hose the connector broke. Does anyone have any good ideas on a way to get the piece out without damaging the manifold?

Also I had an external coolant leak which looked like it was coming from the front of the manifold and leaking down the power steering pump side. I now think the cause may just be the connector. The Tahoe has 148k on it so I suspect that it’s about time to replace the gaskets anyways. Should I just go for it or fill it back up with coolant to see if I still have a leak?

Don't forget to soak PB Blaster on it if you plan to extract it, just make sure you plug the hoe with some rags so you don't get the blaster inside.

If you end up cutting it with a small blade, be caaaareful, you risk curring the threads and may have to retap the hole.

Personaly I would look online for some left hand drill bits and try that. They might twist it out, rather than that extactor tool. Again, be careful
