Lift the vehicle off the ground using the frame. The point of contact for the lift jack must be the frame, as the body will need to be moved independent of the axle housing. Support the vehicle's axle housing with a second jack to allow independent raising and lowering of the housing. This process can be accomplished with only two jacks by installing one lift block at a time.

Remove the factory hardware. With the frame and axle housing fully supported, remove the axle mounting plate that the shock mounts to. There are four bolts that connect the mounting plate to the axle housing. Remove the shock from the mounting plate and frame. Remove the nuts on the ends of the U-bolts that hold the leaf spring on to the axle housing. Pull the U-bolts up and off of the leaf spring and axle housing.

Lower the axle housing enough to place the lift block in between the leaf spring and housing. Position the lift block in between the axle housing and leaf spring. Install replacement U-bolts and torque to manufacturer specification. Install replacement shock, connecting it to the axle mounting plate and frame.

body lift is totaly different. Body lift is a block between the frame and the body, more involved than a block between the axle and springs

I hate rough country so much I bought a 6" lift from them for my suburban.

In all seriousness though, I haven;t heard any bad things on here about them?? Or any other forums, for the price these can't be beat. The fit is great and so is the strength
