Quick question Brake fluid ??

These Hoes don't take Synthetic fluid do they, Just regular Dot 3 ??????????

Doesn't the synthetic mix fine with dot 3 and 4 and provide higher boiling points, etc.

Taylor no, because dot 3 and 4 are glycol based, because the seals inside your pistons and master cyl are natural rubber, and any oil or oil based product will cause them to swell. You CAN mix 3 and 4 if you absolutely need to. But never either of them with dot 5

gotta love products that use buzzwords like "synthetic"...makes you never even think that most things that are man made, are already synthetic! They got me on the brake fluid. I bought the "synthetic" dot 3 fluid when I flushed my brakes!

So is DOT 5.1

DOT 5 is silicone based and does not absorb water, the others are hydroscopic.

I always use dot 4.
