Ramps or Jacks w/ stands

If you have neither ramps or jackstands, I would get a good set of jackstands first. Like already mentioned, you can use them for much more stuff where you will be doing repairs with the wheels off. I actually have both ramps and jackstands. The ramps I pretty much use only for fluid changes.

I too like the ramp but the lowest part of the bumper trim scrapes a lot on the way up and down. A bit unsettling.

I got ramps, jacks, and stands. The ramps are handy for fluid changes, and the jack and stands are good for everything else. Start off with a good jack and a good set of jack stands. You dont want to be under your 2 1/2 ton vehicle with some flimsy looking stands.:emotions122: They got ramp extenders for cars that are too low. I just use about a 2 foot length of 2x4 to get my wifes CTS on the ramps. Works pretty good.:mexsmoke:

+1 On a good set of Jack stands and a high quality jack. Don't go cheap when it comes to safety.

I have both and have had both trucks on the ramps (at different times :p) and felt safe being under it..The ramps i have are the black plastic/poly ones from walmart..
