Edit: I'm not smart enough to make it look like a picture. If anyone can fix that, please do
these brackets "sandwich" the LCA at the lower shock mount. i ordered some 1/4" thick bar stock and plan to make a C-shaped plate to weld onto the end of it that will straddle all of it.
just adding to the top plate i think its gong to have the same problem, its going to bend at the bolt head

i know... my treehuggerness stems from working intimately within municipality water/waste water and water management for the everglades and lake okeechobee down here. its not pretty to say the least

Keep up the good work.
I sell precast structures for a living. That includes water quality units, manholes (storm and sewer), box culvert, etc. Water quality standards have came along way in the 13 years I've been in this field. I don't deal with the end product so I'm not as connected as you.
Just like anything, those who see things have a stronger option. Example- Covid
