thought i had chewed up a front axle, seemed to make a little noise turning whilst accelerating. but was weird cause it only seemed to do it like the first time or two after letting it sit a while.

soo to pull the driverside axle, its a lot easier if the coilover and bracket is out of the way, so i figured i would pull them off and straighten out the bent tab. try and rig up another mount for the straps, yadda yadda. axle seemed fine pulled the inner boot clamp off and looked at the tripod bearing thingy anyway, all tight plenty of grease. so i just put it back together. the only thing i did find was that the spherical bearing on the coilover was broken - but im not sure if that was from bending the tab on the truck or me trying to beat the bearing out of the coilover to replace it.

i had some grand plan on using some 1/4" thick angle iron to make an outer tab that also hugged the LCA, but its just awkwardly shaped and i just kept cutting more and more of it off to get it positioned where i wanted it to the point where there wasnt dick for support. 1/4" was too thick to make an L type bracker off of the shock mounting bolt, grabbed some 3/16" to make some L brackets out of it that sorta works along with the 1/2" bolt going thru the shock and everything else- going to give it a shot and see what it do.

passenger side, same deal pulled the axle out- havent took the boot off yet but inner/outer joints still seams tight with very little slop, i ordered some better boot clamps to re-clamp them back on. made up the same L-bracket for that side. need to finish throwing it all back together.

Something in the front of this pos sounds horrible lol. Only other thing I can think is the CAD in the diff is chewed up.

Been running around with e60 lately, injectors are a lot happier, so I tried to turn it up and I think it's blowing the spark out again as soon as it shifts into 4th wot....is a little choppy in 3rd leading up to it but holds

I forget.... Didn't you upgrade to the 9.25" front diff?

correct....its just engaged full time.

im still wishy-washy about what to do next. i did order the up and forward turbo headers, sposed to be here tomorrow i think. im just meh on the whole deal. i dont want to do another big upgrade (re-doing turbo hot side) for it to at best gain a couple of tenths if im lucky - right after doing this whole a2w mess, to not go any faster. it definitely needed a better intercooler so its not like it was for nothing. doing the hot side is just the cheapest thing that needs to be done right now.

Cuz @randeez ain't no cop out *****!

thank you dub

also, am kinda dumb - remember the alternator ordeal, i could only use the specify carquest one cause the connector. well it turns out you can just remove the 4 bolts that hold the front to the back and re-orientate it with them and throw the bolts back in. so i did that with the new ac delco alt i had ordered, whenever the carquest one goes byebye again
