Pretty productive day, hunched over all day kinda sucks. Passenger side came out pretty good, added the o2 sensor to the loom, goes around back of intake. Trans and oil pressure added to the loom behind intake. Need to extend a few grounds to break the bundles apart where they go to the engine originally. Wasnt enough slack on the alternator, #1 injector, and moved temp switch in that loom.

starting from pretty much this- it's getting there , needed to order some loom and cloth tape, will pick up some black wire to entend those grounds to finish up. the flex fuel sensor used a breakout harness from one of the coils for power/ground and wire to ecm - got rid of the breakout harness, used power from the vlom wiring, put everything in the loom. hobbs switch for big fuel pump i also cleaned up and ran everything in the loom - still need to mount it somewhere though (its tucked behind the fpr at the moment)

I ordered a couple feet of split loom in abunch of sizes, most of this harness is just taped up.
I may not shorten everything just yet, may wait till I get an intake manifold
But driverside pretty well cleaned up. A little messy right by the ecm may try and tuck it into the loom for now

got the converter back from circle d the other day, transfer case is back together, harness is all in and laced down to tunnel just waiting on my 4l80
hydroboost is about together, i found some Gates "field installation" hydraulic fittings im hoping will work to join the flexible hoses from the steering rack to the hydroboost line. one of them came in, installation was easy but should do the trick nicely. have to do a male on one end female on the other.

alrighty race fans.... lets talk exhaust coating

the exhaust wrap sucks. it would be fine if i could put it on, install everything as smooth as could be and never touch it again. but thats not the case. it dries up after being on there a few weeks and just dusts everything with fiberglass anytime you touch it. i mess with stuff to much under the hood or climbing under it while stuff is hot so running no thermal barrier is not an option.
I used DEI lava wrap stuff too, so not really cheap product issue.

Ive had stuff done by a local guy with the shiny ceramic coating but it didnt last long, the finish flaked off, it probably protected the part but thats not what i need since pretty much everything is stainless.

I am close to pulling the trigger on swaintech but looking at some long term/abused parts they start to bead out some of the product and it just looks like a chalky kind of finish.
A company I wanted to try out with last turbo car is called https://www.zircotec.com/ but they are in the UK, makes shipping everything add a few hundred bux to the cost there and back. have been looking for somewhere here (in the US) that does the same process, there is several but not directly geared toward doing automotive applications so im worried parts will come back needing to be cleaned up due to prep/masking problems
