yep, trans never missed a beat but as dirty as the fluid was and as much debris in it theres more than likely a lot of that through out the whole trans.

I had to have my FTI triple disc billet converter opened up and inspected at the request of Performabuilt last time I grenaded the “900 hp” rated 4l60. I HATE pulling trannys. They couldn’t understand why the trans blew up. HP + torque+ weight + AWD= T R O U B L E lmao.

Yea I think the most over looked thing is the weight lol. Plenty of people making a lot more horsepower without (as many) problems
Yes, plus AWD doesn’t help. I think if I was able to switch to 2WD it would be easier on things.

That sucks (again). I hope you get that shit sorted out soon. You have far more patience than me.

Good luck. You really deserve some!

Is what it is :(

This converter, as nice as it was, was spec'd when I still had the 6l80/6.2 and planned on taking it easy for a while. When it was converted to work with the 4l80 (back half chopped off and replaced with plate to drive 4l80 pump) nothing was changed. Only other thing I can really do to it is add a mechanical diode sprag, but even then they say 1k hp is iffy.
The next jump up is built with cnc billet steel stator, the mechanic diode, and extra balloon plate. all that cant/isnt done for the size I have. But i guess that's what I'm going to.
Also, I pulled it this evening after getting home. Got it down to about 3 hour job. doing family crap most of the weekend but just going to try and get it crated up and plan on getting it in the mail early next week

Are you having the trans rebuilt too, with all that junk in the fluid?
