welllll screeching sound "may" have been self inflicted lol
so i got home - kid and i were at universal past couple days - decided to pull the turbo apart. got it down to the exhaust side (still in truck bolted to manifold). noticed one of the clamps was kinda bound up like it may not have been completely seated.
noticed there was some little scrape marks on the inside of the exhaust housing (white lines). sounded about a billion times worse that that looks but o well.
started truck up without the turbo guts, STILL shows fn knock . i just take a deep breath and put it all back together a little more carefully that last time aligning/seating the turbo center to the housings.
start it up, let it idle for a while, knock is a while lot less.
take it for another drive just in case and no more screeching sound and pulling time! drove it for about half hour, through some timing back in the low rpm, did some logging. everything seems to be ok
