Have you heard of this? When I got up this morning I saw that I had received a theft alarm notification at 1:58. The Yukon is fine, undisturbed since earlier in the evening, and the keys were sitting untouched in separate locations in the house. The vehicle is fine…still in the pole barn about 50 yards from our house, and locked. It’s possible that there was an audible alarm last night, but I doubt it. Theories? UPDATE: MYSTERY (POSSIBLY) SOLVED:

I had earlier checked the Yukon to see if any of the doors were ajar, but didn’t look inside. A few minutes ago I opened the driver’s door and found my ****** radar detector/camera dangling. My current hypothesis is that the Yukon detected the interior movement of them detaching and swinging back and forth and reported it as a possible intrusion.

Very likely that was it. Your trim level has the interior movement sensors and there's a disable button for them in the overhead console.

I’ve have the issue with my RD suction cup loosing the ability to maintain the correct altitude as well. Mostly when the windshield is facing the sun and inside temps rise while parked.

By the way, that was not an obscenity in my earlier post. It was the brand name of the manufacturer. The forum software cannot distinguish between this and a reference to, well, other activities.

My kids window tint film thing to block the sun falls off frequently and triggers the interior alarm. I had to turn them off for now.

Yes, thanks for the reminder. Also, I don’t know how much flexibility the forum software here permits, but I’ve been moderating a BMW motorcycle website (BMWSportTouring.com) for several years, and our software (Invision Community) allows admins to edit the glossary of prohibited words. Some of those that are preloaded—like es-cort—are pretty innocuous.
