Ordered a new Range Technology AFM disable device last week and it arrived today. Plugged it in and went for a drive - worked right away and definitely made a difference in my '07 Yukon XL. I haven't had any oil issues, but in just one ride, I felt a difference without the shifting in and out of modes - just felt smoother. I'll be towing on Thurs and Fri and am interested to see how that feels without the 4/8 cyl mode changes.

I recently installed one as well. The day after I installed it, the family and I packed up the Hoe and drove from Florida up to Sugar Mountain NC (1500 mile round trip) I took a picture of the oil stick before and after and didn't lose a drop of oil. The gas mileage also seemed to improve and the engine runs more smoothly. Enjoy your new ride because that's what it will feel like.

I agree it does make it feel like a new ride plus I gained 2-3 mpg . My wife even ask what I had done to the Tahoe that it was driving so much better , so the Range is well worth the money .

A Tune wold have done all of that and so much more.
But congrats on your new toy. :)

Before ordering my range, I looked online for ways to disable the AFM. I only found two options, the range and a complete engine overhaul package. If your referring to a BB tune to turn off AFM, I was under the impression that a BB tune was for people wanting to modify their engines. (That's what I gained from his website). I would have gone with a BB tune if I have known a tune would have turned off AFM. I would of happily given him my money to turn off the AFM if it had said that that was possible on his website. :sorrysign:
