Travelling on the highway and I get the truck to downshift my rpms climb i hear a noticeable rattle from the truck. Let off the throttle and it disappears. This is the only time I've heard the sound. At speed with high rpms. It would appear as though its from under the truck about 1/3rd of the way down. Maybe under my seat or so.

Some people I believe have commented on the heat shield.

Any ideas?

It could be your catalytic converter heat shield, If not it could be coming from inside the converter. I`ve seen the honeycomb break up and rattle like there`s pebbles in there.

If it`s not the shield try hitting the cat to see if you hear a rattle. If it`s coming from inside unfortunately you need a new one.
