Spray bombs can turn out satisfactory, most don't though.

You have to use good paint (OP is painting is black so probably not). A car I used to own was sprayed white with some expensive stuff from autozone (like $8 a can) and it came out good for the money spent. Nothing like real automotive paint though...

Prep and prime and put a bunch of coats on.

I know rustoluem makes all kinds of different stuff that come out decent.

So please explain how walking the length of a car while keeping the can shaken enough to spray even is going to turn out good? There is no way and even if you spent the time and money to make it look half ass even you may as well have just bought the stuff to do it correctly.

I did notice they did not take any close up pics of the Falcon so that should tell you how nice it turned out...

I have done the 50 dollar paint job on my first old military trailer and it came out very nice. It did take a lot of trial and error. I have painted a bunch of my buddies offroad toys with rustoilum paint. If you bring in a paint sample to Ace hardware they can color match! Here is a link to the falcon paint with close ups and a 5 year later pics. If you go this route take your time!!! Need any tips give a yell and ill try to get some pics of the jeeps and rock crawlers I painted this way at my next club meet.

Explain to me how you keep the can shook up enough? There is no way on that large of a surface. I guess the people who buy paint guns are suckers.

From what I can see on my phone it looks like a painted wall which coincidentally is what the paint is made for. May use crayons or markers to paint my next vehicle.

If you can make it look good then go for it and post pics:) what do you think they used to paint cars before PPG paints came in during the 60's?
