Just curious, what are the best years for the Tahoe. I do understand preventive maintenance with that being said I owned a 01 that served me well (238K miles)

I sold an '01 Tahoe to buy this '95. I drove that '01 for 12 years. The only failure was the fuel pump. If there were a 2-door '01, that's what I'd be driving. It was a great truck and I like the looks of them.

My understanding is the 2000- 2006

I know a guy in Ft. Collins with an all original one owner 2-door Z-71 in perfect condition with 45k on the odometer. I tried to buy it for $14,000 last year but his wife didn't want to sell it. A mint low miles original 2 door Tahoe is going to command a lot of money unless the owner is clueless, Kelly Blue book be damned.

As far as the GMT400 tahoes go, I like the 96, for reason being they are the vortec, they are OBD2, and the interior passenger side front dash has that extra ledge for drink holders and other stuff instead of that airbag

95’s has the same dash, but the older non-vortec TBI motor
