I know its been discussed MANY times, but I have searched this forum and havent found an answer to make my most informed decision.

Im ready to buy wheels/tires and need your opinion. I have not lowered yet, but planning a 2/3 drop soon. 07 Tahoe. Buying Slides and 420's.

My question is 305/35/24 VS 295/35/24 both with a +35 offset.
After lowered, i know most people rub with 305's, but im not sure of their offset. So, 305 or 295 and what are your thoughts on +35 offset?

Thanks!

I'll go with the 295 rides smoother then 305 IMO

With a 2-3/4 on my 09 Tahoe, +28, 24x10, and 295/35/24s I rubbed slightly at full lock ... not enough to trim anything but a 305/35 would have needed some trimming of the front liners since it not only adds width but also sidewall height.

So 295 will run smoother, and 305's will definitely rub with 35 offset when lowered.

Good info guys, thanks for the quick responses!

I bought 305's, then bought 295's... Please just go with 295's

So, would you guys agree with the 35 offset VS say, a 25? Is the 35 going push the wheel out just a hair? soulsea i may be wrong but i seem to think you mentioned before that your offset of 28 is tucked just a bit? I would prefer NOT to have them tucked in.

My 24x10 on 295 at +28 didn't tuck ... my 22x9 on 285 at +31 did.

My apologies ... I went back and checked my old posts to make sure I was posting the correct offset. It was in fact +20 on those Enkei not +28.

Same rims/offset on BogeyBoy82's hoe:
