Rear bowtie

Does anyone know how to remove the rear bowtie. I want to replace both the front and back with black ones. I can get the front off, just dont know how to remove the rear

simple 15lb fishing line and hair dryer is all

just double sided tape, but bcareful not to break the two PLASTIC alignment pins

should take u no more than 5 minutes

There are 2 flat retainer washers the hold it on besides the tape. I can reach the back of the emblem as soon as I pop the hood. My front bowtie got ripped off in a car wash. So I learned the hard way.

I don't know about the rear. It may only have double side tape. This seems to be GM's favorite method

The correct answer was posted @ 4 hours before your post. No need to still not be sure about the rear. ;)

I Just used a flat blade screwdriver and a cloth to prevent scratching the finish. Gently pry here and there until you can get your fingers under.

It's just double sided tape. Pops right up.
