Rear diff help!

Have you considered drilling and tapping the top of the pinion shaft to put a screw into it and then pull it out? Does the pinion shaft rotate in place or move at least a little?

Sorry that this is giving you such a fit.

I did that it didn’t work

I can only think that there's some material left in there from that busted bolt keeping it from becoming free.

I wish that was the case but ive pulled it past the hole amd i looke and i poked to no avail

Why don't you put up a post over at the GM-Trucks forum? They're a little more technical over there for mechanic stuff like this, more of them too with all them pick truck guys on that forum.
