Have you considered drilling and tapping the top of the pinion shaft to put a screw into it and then pull it out? Does the pinion shaft rotate in place or move at least a little?

Sorry that this is giving you such a fit.

I wish that was the case but ive pulled it past the hole amd i looke and i poked to no avail

Ohh, so you've been able to get the pin out some?

Why don't you put up a post over at the GM-Trucks forum? They're a little more technical over there for mechanic stuff like this, more of them too with all them pick truck guys on that forum.

Take some pics too and post them up.

I shot that diff three times right in the teeth and went ahead and got myself a more coaporative diff
