I wonder if a heater core from a small car is smaller than that? Or maybe a small radiator from a dirt bike/motorcycle might work?

Is there anything that would fit under the second row and be coolant heated that I could install? If there is something like that I could leave the factory a/c alone and get foot heat, and since heat rises that will work better.

Anyone know if the part number 650 has the "defrost" ports on both sides? That is about perfect and the right size.

Having been unemployed for 4 months sucks, but I wanted to try something:

DSCN2565.jpg

There are 4 huge vents on the floor for just the front seats, and two smaller ones that feed air to the second row, so I thought I would tape off the two biggest ones for a while and see how that affects heat output front and rear. Before I did this, all the front vents would move a lot of air, and even on high, the rears barely did anything compared to the front. With these two blocked off, the side vents up front move a little more, but the rears seem almost matched to the front. If this improves the rear heat any, I will forget about a rear heater unless I move back to Alaska or the mid-west somewhere.

How can I figure out if my '99 Tahoe has both ac and heat, or just ac in the rear? I did check out the GMparts giant website but there are so many listings to choose from.

unknown at this time.
Tahoe's can only accommodate the a/c system in the rear. Only the Suburban has enough body length to house an additional heater core as well as an evaporator. BTW the RPO code for the rear a/c is C69.
