Solved!
I have solved this mystery. In order to do this without tearing your seats up, you have to take the entire seat out seat out.
In my 'Hoe it was 3 15mm bolts (2 in front, 1 under the seat back after lifting the seat up) and 1 T50 bolt between the two seats.
Once you've done that pull the entire frame out of the truck and set it down underside up.
You should see where the fabric is attached to the seat frame. In mine, there were 3 clips holding it in place on the frame. Use a pair of pliers to squeeze those and push them in.
Once you have those pushed in you can pull the fabric away from the back of the seat.
Unzip the zipper (You may have to pull the rest of the zipper out if it is tucked back into the seat cover.)
Pull that back flap up and you should see two bolts. In mine it was 1 10mm and 1 13mm
Along the bottom of the seat there will be two more bolts to remove. In mine both were 10mm
Once you have done that you will notice that there is a steel wire running from the front hinge to the buckle bracket. Disengage this wire. NOTE: The purpose of this wire is to allow the seat back to fold down when you want to lay them flat for storage. So you don't want to cut this (like I did.)
That's it. Put the new one on and put it all back together.
Also note that if you want to replace it with brand new, you will likely have to get the part from a GM dealer. If you don't mind used, go to a pick and pull. Just make sure it works before you leave.
