So I like my 2001.

I hate the 3rd row design that your legs are in your nose because the seats sit so close to floor.

I thought I saw models with that issue changed and have been looking again and can't find them.

We're taking maybe getting another tahoe or yukon but the lack of head protection in 2nd row bench and then 3rd row poor comfort is an issue now as kids are older and tall.

Captains chairs are nice but then u need to use the 3rd row more and then ya get those issues.

Any models with intelligence that protects everyone's whiplash heads and 3rd row actually sits comfortably?

I can't find it. And I can't go new..no $$ for that

Throw the short kids in the back or get a minivan. My father and I can sit in the 3rd row of my Pontiac Montana comfortably, I'm fat and he's tall.

I love having the 2nd row bench. Most times we don't need the third row, but sometimes we use the midde spot. The 2021 Tahoe should solve most of the space problems too.

But I'm not willing to give up a 2nd row bench.

Get one that has captains chairs for second row... then whoever sits in the third row can stretch out their legs between the captains chairs!
You’re welcome!
Very awesome idea!

We've been kicking around captains chairs on a short box or sizing up to suburban to solve the 3rd row issue.

No final decision yet. That would mean parting with my yukon I've put lots of work and thought into or keeping it and selling my car, thus having 2 larger vehicles that love gas.

Short kids? Haha.

I have 2 boys 6'1 and 6'4 and I'm 6'2. And a daughter and then whatever friend tags along. It's become more of an issue as they grew. Younger and shortter no big deal. But now I have to rethink things a lot.

Mentioned minivan to wifey and she truly frowned on a thought of getting rid of her yukon. She loves it. Never thought she would but she does.

A friend of mine with 7 children got rid of his suburban and picked up one of those Nissan vans. Another fellow I knew long ago had eight children and he had a dodge van with 3 or 4 rows of bench seats.

I've seen guys add a 4th row to our trucks but you need leg room for those young men you're rearin' up.

But....told wifey that I would have to have a shed in order to fit 2ft longer vehicle in garage.

If she wants xl length bad enough then I get my shed. Ha!

There you go! I chose the Montana because it was the manliest of the minivans. LOL Dodge has those RST ones and their motors sound great. I reckon those 6-foot boys will be driving soon, just get them their own wheels and they can follow or runs the wife's more arduous chores for her. My mother rarely drove after we got our licenses.
