Hi everyone. Since my SSV had 138,000 miles on it now. I put new struts and shocks on my truck and I think I made a mistake with the rear shocks. I went to Rockauto to see what to get. Most shocks say do not fit police package. I found these on the rear shocks under increased handling/performance.

This was the difference between the old shock and new shock. It is a little smaller by 2 or 3 inches. I am guessing this is the wrong rear shock to have put on. Are these shocks for PPV trucks. Do I need to order different rear shocks for a SSV truck?

PPV truck rides lower and is RWD so that shock's probably for it.

You might be able to go with any OEM (non PPV) shocks for your SSV.

I'd double check before mounting them in case you need to send them back. But, if the shock body under that cover is 2-3 inches shorter than the original, then it's probably ok. Most OEM shocks have to be compressed a couple inches to install them anyway. At least you should be ok for when you lower it.:)
