rear side window defroster?

Hi,
When i first got my yukon the rear defroster had a tab off. i finally fixed that and the rear defroster works great. But now i wonder the rear passenger window has a defrost grid on it. But that doesnt turn on. Is that supposed to turn on with the rear defroster? any ideas what might cause this to fail or where to find info on it? i cant seem to find any info on this at all.

Isn't that the radio antenna ??

maybe could be looks like a defrost grid on the window and has a box that connects to it.
