Mine went out because the roof rack was leaking. Replacing the speakers worked for me too but ultimately I needed to fix the roof. Is your carpet wet in the cargo area sometimes?

no its always dry back there. the problem was that the tinsel lead connection on the speaker came off, and since one was hot wired to the other, both went out. after i soldered it back on it was fine but the other one still wasnt working. i saw a calcium build up on it and threw it away and bought a replacement speaker from pep boys.

Good thing, my roof is still leaking :bawl:
I guess I'm gonna just bite the bullet and have it welded and painted. Sheesh

i had the same problem, where did you find the appropriate size?

I think they're 4"x10" speakers, got mine on ebay for about $30, they sound great too :D
Finally fixed my roof too by the way, turns out my spoiler was also leaking...
