when mirror is working properly the dimming mode is changed when you select reverse gear.

Aha ok I will try it out to do an external wiring to the miror this way: (modes)

1- power OFF (day time)
2- power ON (when lights are rurned ON too)

What do you think?

1- I will supply it from the battery or I have the fuse board neer the door (un used powered fuse socket)

2- I will get the signal from lights fuse too.

Could you please help if you have a diagram showing the mirror socket and how to feed it?

By the way I found something strang to me a number of relays and wires under or actually front off my left foot (driver side) what is this??

---------- Post added at 03:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:57 PM ----------

Ok I am assuming here:

If I feed the miror using two wires (+ -) only!

1- The compass will work
2- The small green screen will work
3- The temp wont work (I dont have the extirior sensior)
4- The dimming wil work all time.

By the way I just got an idea, if I am uncomfortable by the auto dimming (or dimming in genral) how to shut it OFF completely?

I am thinking my be this what happened by the previous owner.. hmm

Assume correct and to shut it off completely both power and reverse circuits must have power at all times I believe. That is the drl relay. Looks as he was trying to disable it. Need the socket hole on the block that has the terminal cut off pointed out to be sure exactly what the end result is.

Hmm ok what do you suggest?

Could you please take a picture of the kick panel on your truck to compare?

I have a feeling it is disconnected from some place
