Hey guys I just picked up a really clean 2012 Escalade. Only issue I have seen so far is I cannot get the rear window wiper to move. When I tell it to wash, it squirt fluid but never moves. It does not even try to move.

What could the deal be here? Wiper motor or the switch?

Could be either one, I had that happen on my 07 suburban, but it was a stripped wiper arm. You could hear the motor run, but the arm didn't move

Had it happen on my Escalade as well. A $25 fix and a few minutes instead of hundreds of dollars and the time to pull the back gate apart.

I couldn't hear the motor running, too quiet but when I turned the wiper on and tried to help it I noticed I could move it without any effort. I pulled the plastic cap off and saw the mount had split on the wiper arm and the motor was cycling.

Never used it when I had my 02 Denali. Shaved it off. And never used it on my 08 Lade.
