I have a 99 Two door Tahoe that has been lowered with a 4/4 DJM flip kit. While trying to install a new set of rims and tires, it became apparent that the rearend is probably over an inch closer to the pass side of the truck. Has anybody experienced similar issues with either the factory setup or any of the aftermarket kits? And does anybody have the factory measurements that I can use to measure the whole rear suspension? Thanks in advance.

unknown at this time.
as in the axle seem to have sliding to the right along it long axis? the only like way that could have happened is if you spring packs/axle spring pad are not in line with the spring mounts on the frame. look for any twisting or bending of you springs or sign of u-bolts that have been damaged or moved. i do not have specific collision measurements available yet. just up fitter books.

SunlitComet:

Thanks for the information. Since I recently bought the truck, I don't have any knowledge of the install, but will check out those suggestions and take some measurements and post them up.

Well, the indications are that the rearend is in the right location, but it is the body that appears to be shifted on the frame. In talking to the guys at DJM, they indicated that this was not unusual for these trucks since it didn't pose a problem given the original factory tire width and ride heights.

So, I can either move the body or add a spacer to one wheel. So, I think the spacer is the winner!

loosen all of the body mounts and give it a push or take it to a frame shop and have them measure the frame. once you start moving stuff around you will end up adjusting every panel on the truck to make it all align properly.
