Aww... Hey every time I go to a Salvage yard they think I'm like retarted. I tell them exactly what the axle came out of and they say they've never heard of such a thing. A light duty 2500 4x4 Pre 97 6 Lug. IS there any other type of number or something they could look up?

i forgot the number stamped on the housing. But your description is exactly as it should be, but the people you have to talk to are not the most knowledgeable group out there. and you can also request a 1500 HD 4x4.

edit: what zip code are you in, and or what is a zip code that is fairly close to you? (i shall find you an axle)

Yeah I know ha I talked to a GM Master mechanic today that SWORE up and down that such a truck didn't exist with 6 lug, only 8. I once asked for a 1500 HD but didn't know what year it had to be or anything. If you could find me one I'd praise you as a 4 wheelin god ha
