Hey, so i wired a 52" curved Lightbar to my 04 yukon andhave it working perfectly where i have it working with my Hi-Beams but have an independent switch incase i want my high beans without my light bar. Because im noy great at electrical things the lightbar is drawing power streight from the hi-beam wire at the headlight. Now i notice that this doesn't work because my lightbar eventhough working well isn't getting enough power. So finally the question, how do i wire a relay properly to give it power streight from the battery but still keeping the system working as is. If theres even a way if not ill have to rewire everything.

This is how i wired it up except that instead of the possitive going to the battery for most voltage possible its hooked up to my high beam headlight wire. this is how i was able to get it working as i wanted but since its not drawing power right from the battery its not getting its full 12+ volts so i was just told to get a y splitter to supplement that red wire but still keeping my connections how they are but i cannot seem to find said y splitter online.

Just curious. If you want to have control over the light bar, then why not wire it up normally. Like in the diagram. Why make extra connections when they arent needed. This way you turn the light bar on and off as you would like. Now if you wanted the light bar on always with your high beams then you would split off of the high beam wire and put it on 85 of the relay.

Did you take a multimeter and measure what voltage is coming off of the high beam wire? It should still be 12v. If it is not, then I would get a relay that works on a lower voltage rather than 12v.

Or you can buy the relay thats in the sticky for the all high mod. It comes with a post you can solder in, and it powers up only when high beams are turned on.
