I am debating having my husband take the molding strips off my 2009 Tahoe. I think they look okay when the vehicle is washed/waxed...but they are difficult to clean and I am not in love with them. Can anyone tell me best process/time for project, or maybe post pics of a Tahoe with them removed?

Danielle -- I took them off of my Vette with fishing line. On a warm day, when the adhesive behind the moldings will be softest, use fishing line like you were flossing your teeth. With a back and forth sawing motion, work your way from one end of the molding to the other.

Take care to not dig into the molding itself. You're sawing through the adhesive, not the molding.

Use some WD40 or Goo Gone to get the residue off of the paint (this can be the hardest, most time-consuming part -- but many have made it easier with one of those eraser ball things). Wash, clay, and wax/polish the area after.
