Removing side steps on Z71

Im wanting to remove the side steps on my Z71 but not sure how hard it will be and i wish i could see it before i do it.

I have thought about doing the same as I have already removed all that plastic crap behind the actual steps...i almost had to remove the actual metal steps in order to get the plastic out and they were not hard...just bolts (dont remember how many)

can u post a pic of yours without the plastic around the steps please. Id really appreciate it

Have y'all looked at removing the plastic pieces from the front bumper too? I have a little bit of rubbing up front and thought this might help alleviate it.

That's exactly what I was talking about. How hard is it to remove all of the plastic? I haven't looked at it too closely but agree that it looks better without all the plastic.

the front plastic piece is easy to remove with a few bolts and tugging on it but there is part of the bumper cover that will hang down behind it....check out this thread that I did when i trimmed it all to fit my tires
