Removing the 4x4

What does it take to remove the 4x4 from a tahoe. Mine has bit the dust and I have no need for it anyway. Whats stay what goes? Least money and work.

Yank drive shafts and trans and pit 2wd trans on. Dumb idea but if you want to do it...

I dod some research and looks like you cut the Cvs and unbolt

You cut the Cvs down to hold the bearing and thats it

99 and the bracket on the top of the diff. I dont offroad but would like it for ice and such

You cut the Cvs down to hold the bearing and thats it

you can leave the end of the cv shaft in or get 2wd hubs. i left the ends in cause i still would like the 4wd once i get my control arms

IMO....If you're wanting to get rid of the 4x4 in your tahoe sell the tahoe and buy a 2wd tahoe :shrug:
