Finally got around to replacing the supports in my tailgate. They finally stopped holding the tailgate up. Sellers on eBay are so dumb sometimes with shipping. Took a bit to get them delivered here. But got them swapped out today. Nice to have a tail gate that stays up again :D

Isn't that the easiest yet most satisfying repair ever lol.
Mine were out for like 2 months. When I finally replaced them I feel like the hatch flys open now lol

I never open my tailgate in the winter. Those lifts seem to be all made in California and REALLY don't like -30
-40.
I don't blame them ... neither do I.

On my fiberglass tonneau I had to replace them every 1-2 yrs.

It’s not THAT cold up here where I live! Haha
The ones on my Durango lasted like 150,000 before I had to replace them. But not these ones I guess.

Well.... my LED tails are starting to go bad, the C shaped bar is flickering, and it has dark spot that moves around. So taxes came back and I have some extra wiggle room, so I ordered a new set on eBay. Gonna have to play with them though as I’m not sure the wiring pigtails will play nice with what’s setup currently. I’ll shoot a quick vid tomorrow of my current tails.

So of course lighting has been terrible every time Ive wanted take a pic of what my tails were doing.... anyways hard to tell in this pic but the bar doesn’t fully light up, sometimes that dark spot is small and barely noticeable, and sometimes it’s huge like in these pics...

But no more... got them swapped out. It was a pain-in-the-you-know-what.....
it was dark when I got the new ones on tonight as I was late to get to my dance teaching. So I’ll clean them up in the morning if it’s not raining and snap a couple.
