Nopemine doesn't have any lighting. Althought there's a wire of some sort attached on the drivers side of my hood. Any ideas what it's for?

I've also discovered a new issue that needs to be addressed. My cup holder tray is somehow broken. The side piece that fits under the lid where the cup holders and ashtray sit is no longer attached on the right side to the bottom of the gray trim bezel. It sags slightly. I noticed on my way home from a work a slight gap in the smaller lid that covers the outlet and tray cuz it was closed and not flush. Here's a couple pics. Any ideas on how to fix it? Also any idea how to make the whole thing apart? I can see a bunch of stuff that I presume fell through the cracks in the trays from my rigs previous owner. Would like to clean all that out. First pic is of the lid not sitting flush as the whole tray says towards the passenger seat. And then second pic is the area under the topside grey trim bezel that I presume is where the cup holder piece so supposed to attach.

The piece attached to your Hood should be a ground strap. I don't really know how your center console top comes apart, but it can't be too hard. The door that doesn't fit flush probably has a small tab on each end where it snaps into the body of the console itself. One either popped out, where it could be, carefully, popped back in, or it might've broke, where you'd probably have to buy another door for it. I hope I'm making sense.

Make sure the interior is nice and warm. Plastic gets brittle in the cold and could crack or break worse if you apply any pressure to it. Sorry I couldn't help more.

It's weird. The flip cover itself isn't broken. Its the whole tray beneath that holds the ashtray and cup holder is what's not attached to the trim piece above it that wraps around the cup holders and under the center console lid. It's super weird. Only weird stuff like this happens to me, I swear!

Ezdaar used to sell kits for underhood lights, he pulled power from that maybe?

Are you saying you want a under hood light?

I make and sell this kit. Its 90% PNP.
All you need to do is drill the hole for the switch and run the wires theough existing conduit.
Once done. Its practically invisible.
Everything is soldered and double heatshrinked. Absolutely no ****** crimp connectors or electrical tape.

My silverado, all my kits but the tahoe below are like this.

Yea, power wire is behind the insulation and then down through the hood ground wire conduit.

There is no hood pin switch.

I could and would love tp tell ya more. But i am selling these and its my secrets on how i build them.
Its not terribly difficult, so of your smart and take your time. You will figure it out.

So good luck.

@TheAutumnWind ,that's awesome! Would not be able to do that myself as though as I'm not good at messing wires and running them lol. But maybe a future mod for a close family friend that's been a mechanic for years who will work on my truck. And he likes to do upgrades like that too.

It's reachable at least. I was in the market to try and buy a limited model Toyota sequoia before I had started looking at the Denali. And I'm glad I didn't end up with a sequoia. The starter on that sucker is buried under the intake manifold. Its a really bear just to get to it. On the 6.0 it's just behind the front passenger wheel. But in the dark it sucked. Although this time at least I was on clean pavement. But no problems since the starter. Now hopefully I have time to work on fun stuff for the rig!

Yeah i've heard about that with some toyotas. Doesn't sound fun. I used to cook starters on my IROC back in the day with my headers that ran right next to it. Bought a lifetime guaranteed one from autozone and they just kept replacing it. Its in the same spot as on these trucks and there is more room to get underneath so They aren't terrible. Glad you got yours fixed up.
