Haven't had time to update my thread lately. Been working like crazy. My backup cam decided to die... Of course.... Ordered a replacement and AFTER chasing down all the cables, correctly wiring the new camera to my headunit and installing and mounted, the new camera stopped working. I think it's a defective camera. Ugh.... Gotta call crutchfield in the morning. Tech support guy said to take to an audio installer and plug the video cable into something and verify its the camera. I really have no desire to do that. I figure $150 for that between fuel to get down off the mountain to an installer and the expensive labor they'll charge just to verify that. That's a waste of $150 in my opinion. So I think I'm gonna call them in the morning and just tell them the shop told me it's bad. Crutch field already told me I have a 60 day exchange on the camera if it's defective. If I can get them to ship me a new camera then I'll be golden and hopefully not have to pull all the cable and words out from my dash. Time and energy I have not to speed on that if the new camera gets here and I can unplug the camera end of the cable at the adapter. That's way easier. Ill have my answer on that tomorrow.

In other news, I finally bit the bullet and order the kit from tgautomotive.com to get my sunroof fixed. It's getting closer to warm weather. Although mother freakin nature decided to be drunk and throw a mix of rain and snow at us between today and tonight..... Damn I'm so done with snow.... Lol
At any rate I wanna be able to actually slide my sunroof all the way open so I used some of my tax return to order the kit and hopefully I can figure out how to replace all the pieces and get it working right again.

I want to get a different cam for my Denali. The one that came on the Tahoe is so much better picture-wise that I got spoiled. Just don’t want to run a new cable so I have to see it there’s a junction near the cam so I dont have to run it all the way up.

There should be a junction. It should look like this. Both old camera and new camera I bought have it. Should look something this...
this end goes up and then splits into the power and ground wires with the video cable plug in at the back of the headunit. And then there’s an adapter that plugs into the other side of this and goes back to the camera.

I know, the one I installed in the Silverado has that junction. I just don’t remember the one in the Danali having one but my memory isn’t that good.
