Looks great Chase!! Man, I wish I had any skill at painting..

Nice work Chase!! Sam, go back into his build thread and see before he got coerced on here to do his own little projects...
And now look at his skills.

The little stuff is not too challenging. All in the prep work and taking your time during the painting process. We all get in such a rush between coats and that is where issues usually crop up. lol. You got this.

Light coats, not heavy.

Yeah. When I started this build thread you couldn’t pay me to paint anything. I still dislike it, but I’m quite a bit better now then before. And anything detail related is my specialty haha. I’ve got the handle that needed paint curing with fresh paint right now. Should be fully cured in a few days.

Awesome! One of these days I’ll give it a shot. [emoji16][emoji106]

So I’m starting to tackle paint items. My poor paint is thrashed.... like everywhere.... ugh :banghead:
At any rate @ivin74 sold me three door handles in my exact paint color! Score! But holy crapolla!!! If I’d known how much work it takes to switch out a door handle!! I would not have done it. Anyways, the drivers door handle is in excellent condition as well as the front passenger side handle is great in great shape. Gave them a little clay bar and a little CG V36 polish and they cleaned right up! Then I tackled switching out my driver door handle. It was a nightmare! But I got the swap done(thankfully!)
The factory door handle:

Pretty scraped and scratched

And the polished up and sealed replacement handle: View attachment 228544 View attachment 228545
I need to repaint my handles, they’re worn on the inside of where you grab them. But with my latest attempt at painting my grill emblem, Im not too sure of my painting skills. Looks like you’re doing good at it though!

Yup that’s exactly where my drivers door handle was wearing out. It was driving me bonkers!
