Small update for the road tank. Getting him slightly more modernized one step at a time... lol replaced the 12V cigarette lighter with a dual usb charging port thanks to reading through @NeverSatisfied ’s build and seeing the swap he did in his Sierra Denali. I really like the idea. There were a couple of ports that were suggested. Ended up ordered this one:

Works so far. Two wires spliced into the factory wires that powered the cigarette lighter and it works! I’m surprised at how easy the wiring aspect of it was! Only difficult part was that the rounded body of USB port was slighter larger in diameter than the factory cigarette lighter. So I had to file the round opening in the upper bezel out a bit to get it to fit. But that was like an extra 10 minutes worth of work and then the USB port slid right in....:Big Laugh:
Anyways here’s some pics of the job! Before with stock cigarette lighter:

And the final outcome! I like the blue LED backlighting, matches my gauge cluster lighting and steering wheel control lighting perfectly! The little door that opens and closes over the port still functions as it should, and the rubber cover on the port itself fits in as well. And the on/off is a tap button on the face of the port which is really cool too! And after all that it even works to charge my phone!! Haha.
