Waiting to see what he says about the event. I couldn’t imagine that happening.

Hey guys thanks for all the support! I made it home safe back to big bear about 2 hours ago. Been on the road driving all day so that’s why I hadn’t checked in yet. My dance partner and I headed out there for the weekend and For the most part we had a blast! the music was off the charts good! We saw big&rich and Jake owen early in the evening Sunday and it was amazing to be so up close and personal with some of my favorite artists! While Big&Rich were on stage we had worked our way up to within about 50 feet from the stage. We left shortly after 9pm when Jake Owen finished up his set as we were both exhausted by that point and made our way back across the street to Excalibur where we stayed. We got word of the shooting shortly after it happened and we were safe at our hotel. That aspect was intense and we were on edge all night until our original plan to check out and head home this morning. Very saddening for all those affected in ways that will forever change their lives. Been lifting them up in prayer since it all went down.

I will add that I was able to make a difference. Last winter I taught a mom and her daughter to snowboard throughout the course of a week and we instantly connected over country music. Have kept in touch with the whole family since and she was at the festival. We met up and watched some of the performances Saturday which was awesome! I checked on her right away Sunday night as she was there watching Jason aldean. She had made it out safe but it was pretty traumatic. She was staying at Mandalay Bay and couldn’t return to her room. She stayed the night at mgm and this morning when I found out she and her friend had flown in I couldn’t leave them. I wasn’t sure they’d be able to fly out as planned. So I met up with them after they had been slowed in to Mandalay and grabbed their luggage. And I drove them to Orange County. Which is part of the reason my return trip took longer. But it’s ok! We had more than enough room for all four of us and all of our belongings and my Denali ran like a champ the entire trip! Zero issues driving home whatsoever. It brought myself and my close friend some peace as we have taken many trips in my Denali and it’s always been my trusty ride. This trip was no different and I’m very thankful for that!

Thank God you're ok! I thought of you immediately as soon as I heard what happened. I remembered you talking about the concert in Vegas. My prayers go out to your friends and all the people who have suffered.

So Saturday morning was interesting. The cable going from the ebrake release handle to the top of the ebrake pedal snapped. Ooi. :banghead: My local parts store had a replacement. NAPA parts had one in stock Saturday but it was like 50 something bucks. I waited to days and got a replacement for 36 bucks from Carquest. Anyways I’m shocked it only took about 20 minutes to swap out and ebrake works as it should. I set it every time I park, because I hate that lurch when I don’t set it. Drives me nuts. So being able to set my brake when I park makes me feel good.

And where the cable clicks into the little tab on top of the pedal. Thank god that tab is designed to use to release the ebrake in the event that the cable snaps, well done GM! One piece of design I like! Lol FDE48E3D-B6C3-46C1-9F56-173ECD2B0BAA.jpeg

My parking brake has never worked. Thanks for reminding me; I'm getting Wilwoods so I think I'll order the parts to get them working while its apart.

Weird I’ve never heard anyone say their parking brake doesn’t. Work. Lol.
Fortunately for me it wasn’t anything to do with the actual parking brake itself under the truck. So that’s a relief. When I push the pedal down to the floor it does seem like it might be a bit loose though. So maybe the next time I’m at the shop, which I’m sure will be soon, I’ll have them tighten it up for me. Lol.
