You can buy a decent used car for 10k. There was a two door Tahoe posted here recently with low miles and clean for like $7k.

good lord. im glad i dont live where you people do. yall pay to much for paint jobs.

find people that do good work and need the work they will work with you on price. my truck and bike were done at the same damn time so i got that price as well. i got both done for 4500.

If you are staying the same color then you probably don't need to respray the whole thing. Even so, $3k is pretty fair for the whole car. I recently did a bunch of paintwork on mine when I was hit and run...ended up getting the guy to repaint all the panels that had scrathches/flaws etc. Painted pretty much half the truck for $1000. That included hood, both bumpers, both sails, tailgate, rear right fender, 2 doors and left front fender.

I'm not in Texas right now... I'd have no problems if I was.

These SUVs can easily be completely resprayed with minor body work for 4.5k in Texas.

What places in Dallas do you recommend? The GM paint definitely does suck
